Blackstreet Boulevard was located 25 Km north of nowhere and 10 Km south of No Man’s Land, but surprisingly enough there were people actually living in it, 5 to be exact, and every last one of them just happened to be a rather wise and rather pretty girl.

In no particular order, I shall make a short introduction for each of them: First we have Manon, a beautiful black haired girl whose dreams come true on demand, and is always ready to have a little fun; she is currently employed as a cashier at a variety store located on the far corner of a road by a spaceship. Ah yes, next we have Chanelle, rainbows and smiles, a true lady with baby blue eyes. Chanelle had something not many other people have, and that is the gift of performance, let it be "Singin’ in the Rain", or R.E.S.P.E.C.T respect, or maybe even a little Romeo and Juliet, she’s the right girl for the job. Chanelle suffered from a terminal disease commonly known as shoppaholic syndrome. Vanessa lives in between Manon and Chanelle, she writes things down there there, a positive habit to say the least, a way to make life easier on the mind and soul. Vanessa can see through those who are troubled, into their deepest darkest zones unknown, she will kiss life and live it her own way.

Well Bob, our next contestant’s name is Julie Anne Berube, she brought her house alive as she decorated it with energetic representations of nature and humanity, with an artistic vision to be feared. Picasso’s work looks like scribbles next to her’s and the Mona Lisa like a second hand portrait.

Julie Anne, come on down!!!

At the very end of Blackstreet Boulevard, there was something that just didn’t seem right to someone that happened to be passing by it on the way to some other final destination far far away. Something so odd and out of the ordinary, only the 4 other girls living there actually believed in it...

Chapter II

Julie Anne’s neighbor took existence very seriously, her name was Sarah Gallows. Every night at 8 o’clock she stood on the roof of her house, with her eyes to the sky and asked: Why?

Sarah did not understand why she was on earth, on multiple occasions she became very confused. She would stay up late, well into the night just thinking about how everything around us came to be. Her world was not our world, she did not see what we saw.

It occurred that one day, after someday and before the next day, a young man was heading home from work. It was roughly 9:11pm in the evening when his car approached Blackstreet Boulevard. A strange light caught his attention, it was so bright and incredibly amazing, he had to turn his head to one side and look, and fortune has it that it just happened to be the sun waving farewell until next morning to rise. Our dashing young lad hit the brakes to rub his eyes. A distant cry of Why? Why? Why? captured his hearing by surprise…
As that first tear dropped from Sarah’s cheek, she began to sing a sad, sad song she had previously composed, thinking of course that she was alone.

“Hi, are you ok? I saw you standing on your roof and just thought I’d check up on you. You have a beautiful voice”.

“Could you turn around for a sec?”

“Sure”

Sarah jumped off her roof, into her backyard, into her house, locked the front door, closed the curtains and jumped under the covers of her king sized bed and said: Why?

“Can I turn around yet?”

Chapter III

The silence of the night was so intense, it couldn’t even hear itself. Sarah’s movements were carefully calculated to avoid disturbing the atmosphere of peace achieved so suddenly in her home. Her step step steps began pushing her towards the dark sky like so many other times before, so she opened her back door and climbed onto her roof once again. There was a voice, yet nobody was around. Where was it coming from?
Could it be the hidden sun, shining on other parts of the world, many miles away?
Or maybe a certain star, begging for her to stay, and play for a while?

No, it was but the soothing whisper of a someone Sarah had come to know very well over the past few years. It was Rachel, an angel so lonely and kind, she lived behind a cloud only Sarah was able to find. This is because in her eyes there was angel dust, just enough, to open up the bits and pieces of the sky, hidden from the rest of us.

Their conversations consisted of love and why people simply do not understand it’s meant to be complicated, for that is the beauty of it. “One kiss never means love, one hour of holding hands never means love, and one make out session is definitely not love, all of these are but first steps in the right direction”, Sarah said.

Be sure that experience gives way to maturity, and maturity will help you figure out the difference between a crush and the now famous true love.

Ladies and gentlemen, you obtain love as fast as you have it in your hands above your feet. Is that your final answer there there? Well no, a human person must also be responsible, to learn from his or her mistakes, that comes with time, and age, unless you know you already have it in you to begin with...

Chapter IV

And behind the apple trees, hidden by their brown trunks and under their yellow leaves were Chanelle, Julie Anne, Manon and Vanessa.

“Holy shit”, said Vanessa.

“It’s happening again”, responded Julie Anne.

“Praise the lord Jesus Christ”, softly shouted Chanelle.

But Manon had no words to describe what she saw in front of her eyes. Manon was wondering about how she would go about finding heaven, just a thought.

The 4 girls had seen Sarah and Rachel before, but never asked Sarah what it all meant, because they certainly didn’t believe in invading someone else’s privacy.

Feeling a little sick and tired of not knowing, a decision was taken. One of them would have to ask Sarah to tell them the truth about all of this sticky business; they were her friends, they had a right to know, nobody enjoys keeping secrets from one another; but an angel! A something divine with white wings that kept a million miracles inside, of hope, freedom and things alike?

Sure, they all were friends, but that doesn’t mean everything was always perfect and dandy, now does it?

Chapter V

With a slight whisper in the wind, darkness fell on Blackstreet Boulevard. It’s like finding yourself alone in your house at 2 in the morning, eyes closed, not a soul in sight.

Then without previous warning, appeared a light, many lights, 4 to be exact, in each of the girls’ houses except Sarah’s. In their respective beds, they observed, suspended in mid air in front of them a notice white as first snow, clear as the purest of crystals, that read: “Over six billion served”…

Just kidding

It actually said: “This is your last chance to bid farewell, and wish good trip, to the person who is currently surrounding your most recent thoughts”.

“Spiderman”, thought Vanessa.

“I get to say goodbye to John Travolta”, thought Chanelle.

“I didn’t know Paul Walker was in town”, thought Manon.

“Mark McGrath”, thought Julie Anne.

“No you shish kebabs”, now read the sign. “Sarah!!!”

Leaving their houses simultaneously, they all knew they were going to the exact same place, and as fate took a turn for the wild side, Chanelle, Manon, Vanessa and Julie Anne began to realize something.

There was a strange man standing on Sarah’s lawn, he had his back to her house, arms crossed, eyes closed.
The girls then gazed over to the apple trees and under their yellow leaves were 4 bodies that looked like their own.

As it turns out, Sarah’s imagination was in full force, bringing back these moments from the past, so they could last just a bit longer, to try and see, if the girls could figure out the hidden mystery that would fade all their uncertainties away. And as they watched yesterday happen again, they all went back to bed and began to silently pray for Sarah to watch over them, to love them and forgive them for their selfishness. For the truth in their lives was that they could have asked Sarah about what was bothering them all along, without even having to leave their rooms.
