DEATH
(Never Give In)
Walking out of the mist,
tired and sore, approaching your nemesis.
DEATH is an appalling opponent.
Confront the beast with courage.
You need strength most men don't conceive
let alone muster.
Realise what is expected,
more so,
realise what isn't expected.
Know that you have lived a life,
know that you are expected to give in.
Stand your ground,
brace yourself,
confront the opponent.
You will
recognise the beast,
know that it has always been there,
all your life, it is part of you.
It is part of everything.
Realise that it will be there after your life.
You fought it before,
so fight it now.
Only then will you find
you can never win,
you can only extend the battle.
