Eric Darbyshire: "I have always found the topic of death and dying to provide nutrients for my imagination, but in giving it some thought I have noticed that what makes up popular culture seems to indicate that death and dying are seen to be of interest to many. Although I have been writing for twenty years I have only recently started submitting material for consideration. In regards to recommendations for other writers I would have to say that it is neccessary to write about things that interest them. It is unlikely that others will find it interesting, or entertaining, if the writer doesn't. (And by all means don't do as I have done and spend twenty years putting words on paper, but never allowing them to leave the home.)"

Liam Bailey: "I am a 22-year-old freelance journalist from Scotland. I started writing poetry and short stories just over a year and a half ago, because my secondary school English teacher said I had a real natural talent. The first year was a steep learning curve, I wrote and sent away many poems to many places without success, and at the same time wrote a 12000-word story, which I had to scrap because of plot-holes that I just could not fix. Learning from every mistake, I had my first poem published in an anthology after the first year, and have had six more in the last seven months, also in anthologies. Although I love writers like Stephen King and Dean Koontz, I am not inspired by anything or anyone, ideas just come and the writing just seems to flow from my head through my hand, but this is not always a good thing. Leading to my best piece of advice, plan any piece over 1000-words thoroughly; I learned this from having to scrap my first story. I thought because everything just flowed naturally it would be my best work, but unless you have super-human memory you can’t achieve consistent characterisation without planning, or create different atmospheres by describing main surroundings in unique ways. All your time is taken remembering how to describe, or characterise them in the first place. I hope you enjoy reading my work as much as I do writing it. To view a showcase of my varying journalistic skills visit http://warpages.wordpress.com, or http://liambailey.wordpress.com."

Shishir Gupta: A poet and story teller given to uncovering inner crevices of human psyche. In particular the mores and practices that we have established since we set up our present civilization needed to be altered for the better in the fast changing global scenario. However that has not been the case. "I write fiction and poetry to emphasize such aspects. In fact my majority messages deal with creating a new philosophy of life. I love like minded people whether writers or not.Essential to such a new philosophy is fairness in all things we do. Fairness is a standard as is accepted by the process of voting in all life matters. However sometimes I love to dwell deep into human emotions and miseries as well. I would really appreciate if a few of my poems and stories are "read and understood" rather than "all of my poems and stories are read skimpy manner. Reader's pleasure is assured to be multiplied several times when former approach to reading my poetry or fiction is adopted. And a reader who reads a few of my poems or stories and understands their intended meaning is bound to take on others for much deeper understanding. I am a banker by profession and reside in India.I have a keen desire to be in Europe and America to understand people and cultures from a closer angle."
